How the partner programme works
Pipedrive works with independent companies that sell, implement and support the product. These partners are ranked in tiers. The tier reflects certification and delivered volume, reviewed by Pipedrive rather than claimed by the partner.
Moving up a tier takes time. You need certified consultants, a base of customers you keep supporting, and results that hold up in review. A new company cannot buy the top tier.
What the badge proves
Three things, and they are worth something.
First, the consultants passed Pipedrive certification. They know the product properly, including the parts most people never open.
Second, the company has delivered a real volume of projects. Your implementation is not the first of its kind for them.
Third, the relationship continues. A partner at this level has a direct line into Pipedrive for escalations. When something breaks in a way support cannot fix, that line saves days.
What the badge does not prove
It does not prove they have done your migration. A partner can be excellent at greenfield setups and have never moved a Salesforce org.
It does not prove they know your industry. Selling machinery with a nine month cycle is not the same as selling software subscriptions.
It does not prove the senior consultant will be on your project. Ask who does the work, by name.
It does not prove they will say no to you. That is a cultural trait, and it is the single most valuable thing a partner brings.
How to verify a claim
- Check the partner directory on the Pipedrive website, not a logo on a homepage.
- Ask for the name of their partner manager at Pipedrive.
- Ask how many certified consultants they employ, and how many are available to you.
- Ask for two references that started where you are starting.
These four checks take twenty minutes. They filter out most of the noise in a shortlist.
Tier is not the same as fit
For a team of four with a clean sheet and a simple process, a small local partner or an internal administrator may deliver the same result for less money.
For a team of fifty leaving Salesforce, with finance depending on the numbers, tier starts to matter. Complex projects fail on experience, not on effort.
Match the weight of the partner to the weight of the project. Our test for that is on DIY versus hiring a partner.
What to do with the badge in a shortlist
Use it as a filter, not as a decision. Shortlist certified partners, then decide on the quality of their questions.
In practice, the best signal we know is discomfort. The partner who asks what you would do if two people disagree on the definition of a qualified deal is thinking about your adoption. The one who asks for your logo files is thinking about the demo.

Questions
What is a Pipedrive Platinum Partner?
It is a tier in the Pipedrive partner programme. Reaching it requires certification and a sustained level of delivered and supported customers, reviewed by Pipedrive.
Does a Platinum Partner cost more?
Not necessarily. Rates vary by country and by scope. A higher tier partner often needs fewer hours for the same result, because the design decisions are faster.
